How is UZH funded?

 

With its over 28’000 students and seven faculties, UZH is the largest university in Switzerland.

 

As a public institution we are primarily funded by public taxes.

 

 

Major funder is the Canton of Zurich that provides round about half of UZH’s yearly budget.

 

In addition to public funding, third-party funds get more and more important to ensure high quality research and teaching.
