Human Resources
In an expert organization like UZH costs are mainly driven by the costs for human resources.
About 2/3 of UZH’s total costs are related to human resources, such as salaries, social security contributions (AHV and pension funds), accident insurance, lunch checks or continuing education of our staff.
The appointment procedure, the employment process as well as funding issues for new professors are managed by the Professorships Department. The employment of all other staff is the responsibility of the Human Resources Department.
Please consider that our staff may have multiple positions and (as a consequence) multiple employments. The costs (salaries) are paid out of the respective account assignment object.
If an employee has one single employment but is involved in different research projects, the Human Resources representative has to declare the respective cost split prior to the start of work in eHR.
