Financial management structure
In order to ensure an effective and practical mapping of all financial business cases and processing of the respective transactions, we need account items and account assignment objects.
They form the baseline of our financial management structure.
The account assignment objects are mapped to so-called areas of responsibility (Profit Center, PC). One or more areas of responsibility belong to a unit and are managed by the head of the unit. Faculty units, in turn, are the responsibility of the deans, central services units the responsibility of the respective member of the Executive Board (Vice Presidents, Directors).
Overall financial management and governance is the responsibility of the Executive Board and the Extended Executive Board of UZH.

The financial management structure is reflected in the daily updated “financial reference data”.
Our organizational structure is mapped in the “UZH Directory” and also includes groups or teams without financial responsibility. Changes regarding the organizational structure can be proposed via inForm.
